7:00 PM – 8:30 PM   The Places We are From – A Culture Days Writing Workshop                                      Musée Heritage Museum 

This poetry workshop will have you exploring the places you are from and telling the stories that are important to you. Through a series of small writing prompts, 2019 St. Albert Public Library Writer in Residence Mary Pinkoski will have participants writing small snapshots of their memories. Mary will also speak about the importance of writing place in her work as the 5th Poet Laureate of the City of Edmonton. 


9:00 AM – 9:45 AM  Bed Sheet Theatre                    Forsyth Hall, St. Albert Public Library

For ages 4 – 7.  A storybook is acted out and everyone gets the lead role!  A bed sheet is used to become all the props and costumes!  Created and provided by Rooney & Punyi Productions. Please bring a flat bed sheet with you!  Check back for further information and registration link August 26, 2019. 



9:45 AM – 10:15 AM   The Magic of Acting                Progress Hall, St. Albert Place

For ages 8 – 12. Actors & playwrights use the same tools when creating something from nothing. Learn how to be an actor and to create a wonderful world of magic through using imagination and improvisation.
